Julie Palloc began her training at the Conservatoire national supérieur musique et danse de Lyon in her hometown of Nice and continued her studies at the Conservatoire de Lyon. She was a member of the Karajan-Akademie der Berliner Philharmoniker from 1995 to 1997, and in 1998, she was a member of the GUSTAV MAHLER JUGENDORCHESTER. From 1998 to 2000, she was a member of the Academy of the Deutsche Oper Berlin. This was followed by permanent engagements as solo harpist at the Staatskapelle Weimar and at the Wiener Staatsoper. In 2002, she was a founding member of the Lucerne Festival Orchestra with Claudio Abbado and played in the orchestra until 2007. Julie Palloc performs solo concerts and chamber music in Europe and Japan and is a guest at various music festivals. She has been principal harpist of the Philharmonia Zürich, the orchestra of the Opernhaus Zürich, since 2003. Since 2003, Julie Palloc is tutor of the harps of the GUSTAV MAHLER JUGENDORCHESTER.
