Jonathan Nott

 

The great British conductor Jonathan Nott, Music and Artist Director of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, music director of the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra and former long-time principal conductor of the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, will lead the GMJO for the third time after the 2009 Summer Tour and the 2015 Easter Tour.

Elena Zhidkova

 

 

Russian mezzo-soprano Elena Zhidkova, at home on all the world's major stages and most recently on the Easter tour of the GMJO in Lisbon in 2015 as Judith in Béla Bartók's opera Duke Bluebeard's Castle, returns to the GMJO as a soloist.

Tobias Wögerer

At the beginning of the 2018/19 season, Austrian conductor Tobias Wögerer, who studies at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Weimar with Nicholas Pasquet and Ekhart Wycik, was appointed assistant conductor of the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester. He makes his debut with the GMJO during its Easter Tour 2019 with two concerts in Lisbon.

Anika Vavic

The Austrian-Serbian pianist Anika Vavic looks back on a long career. She works regularly with many great conductors and orchestras, including Valery Gergiev, Paavo Järvi and Vladimir Jurowski. She makes her debut with the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester together with Tobias Wögerer at the Lisbon Residence.
